Choose the right crafting mode
| Mode | Official behavior | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Order | Produces a specified quantity, then stops; pauses if materials run out. | One-time equipment, a quest requirement, or a controlled batch. |
| Stock | Keeps an item's quantity above a specified threshold. | Ammunition, food, healing, and recurring supplies with a desired reserve. |
| Auto | Produces indefinitely, pausing and resuming with material availability. | Stable intermediate resources whose continuous use justifies the input drain. |
A practical setup sequence
- Build and activate the Warehouse to unlock the three crafting modes.
- Put limited early materials into Order Mode until you know which lines are actually recurring.
- Move operational supplies to Stock Mode and start with conservative thresholds.
- Reserve Auto Mode for dependable inputs; otherwise one chain can starve every other project.
- Queue research, then check whether the labor, material, and transport layers can support the newly unlocked production.
Automation is still Early Access
The official roadmap plans more sources of CredChips, including automated income. Current forum requests also ask for deeper automation. That makes this page update-sensitive: do not assume a July demo video shows every control available after AG-12.
